During the Italian Knitting Experience, I learned something new too: I finally figured out how to knit using the Portuguese knitting method. 🧶

To get comfortable with the technique, I’m making a very simple triangular shawl. The little trick is that I’m knitting it with needles much larger than those recommended for the yarn: I’m using 6 mm needles instead of the suggested 3 mm.

The result? A beautifully soft, lightweight fabric with a lovely drape. Without making an oversized shawl, I end up with a triangular scarf that’s practical to wear and perfectly suits my lifestyle.

The yarn is one I bought during the Experience from @kiloyarns. It’s a gorgeous 100% merino wool with a beautiful hand-dyed gradient.
