William Kyle, a distinguished design professional and passionate tour leader, earned his Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University. With studies at the University of Florence and California State International Programs in Italy, mentored by luminaries like Professors Cristiano Toraldo di Francia and Adolfo Natalini, he developed a great appreciation of classical and contemporary architectural principles.

In San Francisco, he designed residential and corporate interiors projects, heading up his own design studio for a decade, incorporating both form and function into his spaces. His journey into leading tours began in 2000, guiding explorations for Bay Area Young Architects across cities like Los Angeles and Vancouver, exploring architecture's influence on the urban fabric. In 2009, William launched tours for handbell ringers in Tuscany connecting cultures through tourism and music.

Co-founding Resonate Tours in 2018, he began curating unique journeys for musicians, knitters, architects, potters, and oenophiles, that go beyond traditional travel. Inspired by Portugal's fusion of innovation and tradition, especially in the wine industry, William has created an unforgettable travel experience that harmonizes architecture, culture, and cuisine, inviting individuals to explore the world through an architectural lens.

After a varied career in the corporate world, Alex Hay embraced his passion for travel and culture by founding Resonate Tours with William Kyle. His love of languages, cities, history, culture and design interests perfectly with the company's vision to create enriching travel experiences for enthusiasts.

Alex is a bit of a Renaissance man. Having studied computer science and business, he worked for a while building software before changing careers to develop large-scale solar power projects. Alex plays classical violin and handbells, reads science fiction whenever he can, loves to knit, and enjoys great food and wine.

While studying abroad in Spain in college, the process of adapting to a foreign culture and learning a new language fascinated him and he developed a lifelong passion for travel and exploring new cultures. He's visited more than 20 countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia, and he speaks Portuguese and Spanish, some Italian and about thirty words of Mandarin Chinese.
